House at the Lake edge

The site is set in a dense neighbourhood near the lake in the city of Udaipur. The brief was to design a house in the small 4m wide site at the lake edge providing comfortable spaces for all the functions for everyday activities to space for Usha's hobby - pickle making. The project then expands towards the 9m where the hobby then transforms into a domestic scaled business venture. The design tries to respond to the surroundings and context also giving individual and comfortable spaces for each function.
