House at the Lake Edge, Udaipur

Located at the edge of Lake Pichola, Udaipur, the 4m wide site is part of a dense urban fabric. The project began with the idea of keeping the ground open and flowing, and lifting the rest of the spaces above in order to retain the direct connection between the street and the lake. Along with a pickle making hobby growing into a craft business, the family's residence extended to an institution.
