Aanganwadi is a government sponsored child-care centre in the rural parts of India and translates to " a courtyard shelter". The given site was situated in the Kalamvihir village of Dang district, Gujarat. The final outcome of this studio was an informal classroom space designed as a part of the aanganwadi. Basic configuration of the classroom space evolved from the paper roll lamps designed in the initial stages of the studio. Parameters such as climate of the region, cost efficiency, material consumption, aanganwadi activities etc. were to be considered while designing the classroom space for the aanganwadi.
