‘Samaan’ -An Approach to Un-Gendering

The project proposes an approach to achieve an ungendered street in the commercial street of Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi. The key strategies are explored through various analyses, observations from different contexts. The vision is to provide a safe, more accessible, and enjoyable pedestrian corridor integrating easy access to public services for women. The design is not focusing only on the safety of women but also on how to bring more women on street and provide more comfort to them.
