Surmounting conurbation lead farmland to dense built neighbourhood:
The portfolio aims to document the study of an urban precinct
through a structured research framed by the Foundation program of
“Studio : Understanding the city | Faculty of Planning| CEPT 2020”.
In the methodology it has put the lens to understand the city
through a small part of the city taken as a precinct of 1 sq km
area. Its every aspect from existence, physical characteristics,
its infrastructure & its people choices has taken into account
for observation, analysis and to infer a conclusion as outline of
overall study.
The approach to the study is stepped by visualizing Santoshi
Nagar, Raipur as a theme that surmounting conurbation took over
the precinct and lead its farmland transform into dense built
neighbourhood & delayering its various aspects that enables it to
function, grow and densify.
