The study is a research on the aspects of the physical and social characteristics of a (1x1)km precinct, located in Phase-9 Mohali, Punjab. The aim is to ‘understand the city’ through the interpretation and analysis of a precinct. For any city to function efficiently, the first thing it needs is good connectivity from one location to another within its own administrative boundary. The connectivity of the location depends on several factors, such as the pattern of streets, its intersections, and its ability to cater to the expected traffic. This study will connect us to the city from the precinct’s perspective.
