Some localities of old Bangalore still retain their charm and culture while accommodating a booming real estate – Banashankari is one such area.” The precinct in Banashankari reflects all the characteristics of a rapidly developing residential locality. The real estate boom here was lead by the Outer Ring Road passing through the precinct. Thriving commercial and Transport infrastructure in proximity to the residential fabric has been yet another determinant in shaping this development. However, the area and its surroundings have begun to deviate from the trajectory of sustainable urban growth.
