A city is like a woven fabric that has multiple components that bind together to form a fabric. To understand the choices provided by the city it is important to know people’s role in shaping it, the city culture, the network, the built form, infrastructure, housing, transport choices, job opportunities, and livelihood.
The city considered for this study is Mangalore and the precinct considered is the Mangaladevi precinct. The study conducted is a part of Ist Semester Foundation Studio 2020 at CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
A city can be viewed from various perspectives. In this portfolio, the various elements of the choices provided by the city for its people are reviewed and analyzed for 1 Sq. km precinct in Mangaladevi, Mangalore.
