Greater Noida, an emerging city started developing in phases from the late 1990s was totally rural in character. Residential sectors developed first and then the institutional which changed residential row houses style where residents started adding upper floors for accommodating students as paying guests or renting. Grid layout with wide roads are designed considering the issue of traffic. Unbuilt high % under vacant & defunct plots showing an emerging trend where it will develop gradually just as city developed over a period of time.
