A city can be best understood through its people and urban layers. With flourishing service economy, the capital city is seeing a constant change in its settlement – from villages to newer residential areas supported by various amenities and infrastructure facilities. The city has evolved through ages and is still transforming. It is and has always been a city for people and the migration pattern of the city portrays it.The defining inclusiveness character of the city has been showcased through the study of different neighbourhoods which focuses on the urban form variation and peoples' choices of settlement ranging from the city core to the periphery.
