Nagpur city is made of various fabrics and patterns & to get deep knowledge about the grains and urban growth and its characteristics on local bodies, one Sq.km area of Manish Nagar is analyzed. Manish Nagar lies at the south-west corner of the city of Nagpur. The study area has close proximity to the airport which is just 2 km away. The street pattern within the area is properly laid out grid-iron which is a characteristic of a typical residential neighbourhood along the fringe. The standard of living of people within precinct only varies drastically due to diversity in its typology. The major determinants such as MIHAN, NH7, Metro, etc. itself contributed to the development of the area. The area is predominantly residential and commercial & of mixed-use along the major roadsides. The informal activities occur on the road due to the lack of public spaces in the precinct, which leads to the street as one of the major public space for the precinct. The complex blend of the commercial and residential fabric gives the area a distinct character.
