Bhopal has nestled as a historically prominent and a culturally sound city since it was discovered by Raja Bhoj. After being declared the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the city has developed itself has an administrative and industrial city. A considerable population living in the city is involved in admin jobs with the government and hence one finds a number of housing localities planned for these employees. The precinct, Bittan Market and its residential neighborhoods are a part of a similar planned zone, also one of the oldest in the capital city. The well organised and planned roads, built structures, open spaces in the precinct have proven to be a boon for the area, making it the most sought after neighborhood in the city. The study is an effort to analyse and understand the various layers and factors working in harmony at both the city and precinct level.
