Mumbai has developed multiple urban centres where work trips are usually longer. The existing infrastructure and planning framework does not allow the crucial areas around transit stations to cater the growing need of residential and commercial floor space within a walkable distance. Dadar is one of the important node in Mumbai having 3 Transit Stations in close proximity. But still it remains as a gateway to reach different parts of the city. The studio focuses on TOD through Local Area Plan for Dadar, by envisioning it as a 'Commercial Transit Centre" - A Destination to Live, Work and Play.
