Nizamuddin is identified primarily by the UNESCO world heritage site of Humayun's Tomb. It’s named after the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah – an eminent pilgrimage point in India.  It is a unique site to look at two contrasting factors of Heritage and Transit and integrate both to propose a local area plan (LAP) in a manner that enhances the imageability of the heritage site. To promote the experience journey of the people visiting such heritage precincts, various tourism based interventions were proposed in order to maintain the character of the site.
