Mumbai - one of India’s largest cities and financial hub - is facing grave urban issues such as grossly overloaded public transport systems, failing infrastructure and rising unaffordability. Through the Local Area Plan mechanism, the studio aimed to address these issues for Dadar, the heart of Mumbai. The LAP comprises of planning, policy and project-based proposals to manifest the vision of a commercial transit centre in Dadar - making it a Live-Work-Shop-Play destination for South Mumbai. 

About the Site: Dadar has evolved from being a suburb in the colonial era to one of the most sought-after city centres in Mumbai.
Issues derived from Existing Situation: Overall as well as transit station-specific issues were listed to arrive at the vision and proposals for the LAP.
