This portfolio is a compilation of the work done as part of the Urban Expansion and Regeneration Planning, 2020, Monsoon semester. The primary objective of the UERP studio was to develop core competencies necessary to formulate for micro-level planning. The semester was divided into four iterations, each focusing on a single theme- existing situation analysis, conceptual proposals, zoning, and preparing a Town Planning Scheme for Green field area with cost estimates, revenues, policies and implementation methods. Time was a major constraint in the process. A detailed case study was done prelude to these iterations, to understanding micro-level planing practices in India and various other countries. Which helped us understand the implementation process and its impacts. A study was done on Aerocity TDS, Bhopal, and comparison of its development model was done with Smart City, Rajkot. This helped in understanding the approach to Micro Planning for Greenfield areas in cities. The First Iteration introduced us to the site, Enasan. From the Existing Situation Analysis, it was assessed that the area had the scope of developing as a sub-regional node on North East, on the periphery of Ahmedabad city. Overall, this portfolio showcases my understanding of micro level planning to develop Greenfield Areas through Town planning Schemes.
