The UERP Studio was structured in two parts. In first, The disciplinary approach towards understanding an area was firstly to visit and get acquainted with the site. . Due to COVID 19 outbreak the process was effected but I still manage to visit some of the stakeholders. The field visits comprised of interviewing the Sarpanchs, Village dwellers and SUDA officials for data extraction which was further required for our preliminary studies. With the findings and studies, we learned about the site selected for further exercise and delved upon the ideas which will can trigger the development in Kharvasa along the Proposed Outer Ring road of Surat. We further studied about the contextual need of Kharvasa – Vanz Zonal Plan with our objectives and vision. Then we moved on with our micro-zoning and deductions required for the site. Then we explored on the difference between conventional TP approach of Gujarat and our revised TP approach with numerous iterations for the same. Then moving on towards costing and valuation, we explored how this TP will benefit both from owner’s and authority’s aspects.
