A grid shell structure is a surface structure which equally divides the load on each grid junction. The Bamboo Gridshell is developed from the same concept from the Bamboo and Timber Case Study. Each Module is made using Bamboo flat mats of different shapes and sizes to get the whole system. The system Grid is of 500X500mm, After folding the flat mat each grid will deform its form. The Form of the central module was derived from the palm leaf and the module was further repeated to get the whole System. While in the process the form, idea was derived from croissant which was further converted to Bamboo Gridshell cafe.
