The Swastik

I am Khush Tiwari have worked on WOOD Cantilever system and have utilized the system to design a Car Spa. Through the course of the studio, we have learned the basic wood structural system and elements. For understanding in detail what the Timber structure is we had done the case study on timber structure named Metropol parasol. In which we have learned the structural system, shape, load distribution and transfer mechanism. After the case study, we are supposed to form a design(plan) idea. For good design and proportion, I made 2d sketches on architectural principles. Intersecting forms which opens up in all directions. Multi directional taking advantage of the views from all the sides. Form which resembles this kind of multi direction properties is the cultural sign of Swastik, while tried to achieve this in 2 dimensional and 3 dimension too.
