Soul of Bombay Hotel

The Bombay hotel community, located near the Pirana landfill is home to a large group of Islamic families that have spent more than the past decade trying to make this place home. The sense of community in Bombay hotel can be felt almost immediately through the kindness and caring nature of the people. The community lacks very basic amenities that are required to celebrate this togetherness due to its tight-knit, dense-built fabric. The project aims at bringing that soul back into the community through outdoor spaces of celebration.
