In response to environmental conditions, natural systems are competent in developing material and energy-efficient solutions. The main objective of developing is to decipher the logic embedded in natural systems to generate interior architectural systems. The project deals with the extreme climate of Kochi, Kerala, a very humid place by adding an external skin onto the existing glass facade of a commercial building- club. This skin is a transformable system in which the aim to decrease the humidity in the interiors, and control the amount of wind flow entering the building. The system is an extension of the idea that a building’s envelope, by Incorporating a transformable design system to achieve thermal comfort in indoor space.
