LOCATION : Sabarmati Riverfront, AhmedabadBUILDING TYPE : Museum (Institutional) MATERIAL PALLATE : Concrete, Brick, Glass, WoodSTRUCTURAL SYSTEM: Flat Slab SystemRCC buildings are very different in terms of it’s shape, form and structural system, an engineer requires to not only analyze and design the building but also understand the process that leads to it’s architectural and structural form. Hence, it started by studying buildings and their elements leading to designing a museum from the scratch. Along with the designing part, after a few manual exercise of calculating loads and moments on structural components, the museum was designed structurally also.
