Bachpan Ka Pitara - Being a child with my child

The project belongs to the labor colony of a construction site based in Nehru Nagar, Ahmedabad. The idea behind ‘Bachpan ka Pitara’ is to evoke the memories of a childhood not just for the child but for the mother as well. A place where they can be together and grow in each other’s presence. A place of warmth like a mother’s dupatta. The project sits around the two existing trees on-site where the kids are often seen playing around. Most of the materials used in the project are derived from site waste itself and reused in multiple ways for the project.
