The Chhapra and the people had lots to offer, their source of income was under question but nevertheless, they kept their upbeat attitude on. The idea of Indian travelers adopting the hostel life to gain raw experiences: The idea of a collaborative platform gained much recognition because of its approach of “Interaction for impact”, people wanted more personalized local experiences of the city and the surroundings. Another trend and change in traveler requirement are “live like a local”, in their travelling destination. Growing demand for localization amongst the foreign visitors of India, this trend can be leveraged by the hotels facilitating interaction between locals. For example, there can be local shopping outlets, the temples, festivals related events. Hence the Government of Gujarat, in collaboration with Google Arts and culture revive the dying economy of the Chhapra by providing them with a platform to showcase the hidden art – Mata Ni Pachedi of the Chitara Family along with the other locals who specialize in odd jobs, selling local delights to familiarize people with what its like living in a community!
