The population in the world is constantly rising which has resulted in cities developing at a much faster rate. This has put an immense pressure on the existing resources in the cities. The rise in population leading to urbanization has majorly affected the Agricultural sector, since the demand for food is increasing at a rapid rate and on the other hand, there is a loss of agricultural lands.The evolution of Architecture has always been out of necessity. It has revolved around basic necessities like shelter, water, etc. and to create a sense of security but, food still remains the unexplored category when it comes to Architecture. Hence, considering the rate of increase in Urbanization, there is a need to strengthen this relationship between Food and Architecture in order for us to sustain.
