The studio intended to develop knowledge about various documentation tools and methods, different traditional materials and their properties, assessing values of the building from its various attributes and significant features. Documentation module helped to understand that, the selection of documentation techniques is based on the data and the level of information we require from the documentation. Traditional building material module gave us insight about the historic materials, how they were used in the past, what are the availability of these materials in current markets and various tests conducted on it unfolded the physical and chemical characteristics of the material. Analysis module explored the different significant aspects of the building for deriving the values out of it. Aurobindo Bhawan in Dharamj is selected as the site, which is mainly known as an old clock tower in the village.
