LIGHTING AND DAY LIGHTING INTEGRATED DESIGN LAB

The lighting and integrated design lab is designed to explore and understand methods to find a balance between the daylight, views, and visual comfort in a space. Through software simulation, early design strategies for daylight inside a space are explored. The whole building design module in the second half of the semester gives an integrated design approach of optimizing a building right from the envelope, HVAC system, daylight to code compliance in such that it is highly energy-efficient and ensures the health and wellbeing of occupants.
