LIGHTING AND DAYLIGHTING INTEGRATED DESIGN LAB

Lighting and Integrated Design Lab is the studio divided into 2 parts: 1) Daylighting and Electrical lighting : This  studio was focused on understanding lighting simulations and methods of performance evaluations. This was done through an understanding of the different aspects of light, metrics for evaluation, and reasons for evaluation.2) Whole Building Design: This  studio looked at an office building with  an integrated design approach following ECBC guidelines, then propose passive strategies and low energy cooling systems to reduce the operational energy and cost, which was then assessed on it's feasibility through life cycle cost analysis and simple payback period.
