Despite being declared a 'National Monument', the Louise Catherine lies almost unnoticed on the River Seine, due to the height of the embankment. But is this irony merely a coincidence?From the patronage of Corbusier's followers in Ahmedabad, the barge is being rebuilt to be housed in front of the maestro's premier work - the ATMA Building. However, the public space that gets created is one that celebrates the city and it's people. The barge lies in it's new context, shadowed by the modern. Only those who delve deep, get a glimpse of what lies beneath the surface of it.
