Majuli district of Assam has been exposed to riverbank erosion and flood due to course changing Brahmaputra river. These hazards create a threat of losing the cultural identity of Majuli. The project demonstrates new techniques complementing traditional knowledge to sustain their culture. A new Satra dedicated to Mask making traditional crafts has been imagined in Goal gaon in Majuli. Which could float with the floodwaters. This Satra could act as a prototype for the villagers to learn from and build their houses.
