'Connection of Stories'- through threads and dots details in about the crafts and narratives along with enlightening about my theme of connection in my work. 'The Rolling Pumpkin'- is an illustrated storybook for children connects my memories to the field visit to Vastadi, 'Dastan e lockdown'- showing my life during lockdown, 'Jodan-a connection of threads'- is an experiential map and postcards connecting the journey to kutch and establishing a connection of threads, and 'Jodan-a connection of dots'- a game that connects back to the Tangaliya craft in Vastadi is about the motifs of the craft.

Board game design was about designing a board game with a purpose of educating the kids about the Tangaliya crafts from Vastadi region in Gujarat. 'Jodan' is about making and learning about the Tangaliya motifs and creating motifs using coloured pins. Images of the physical game model are shown here.

The packaging of the game is shown along with the poster for marketing of the game.
The visit to Kutch and Surendranagar were to be depicted through a contextual map. The idea of thread as constant everywhere is taken into consideration and the connection of all the places through thread is done here. Thread being a connecting element, connects the whole experience during the journey altogether and joins them.
The info cards on the field visit to Kutch explains about the whole process behind the craft. Thread, being a connecting element joins the three cards of same kind showing the whole process as one.
The exercise was based on understanding a Narrative craft and making a visual outcome of one's life during the lockdown. The craft chosen here is Tala Pattachitra and different activities like watering the plants, the idea of sitting in a room in front of the screen are depicted here through the craft. Also the idea of the role of my family in my life during the lockdown days is shown here.
Based on a folktale from Kumaon district in India, the story revolves around the tale of an old lady and her way back to home in a pumpkin, showing the perfect examples of bravery. The characters and the book here are placed in the Vastadi region of Surendranagar along with adding certain culturalization according to the context.
During the semester, many workshops like Gond, Mata ni pachedi, Ajrakh, Bandhni and others were attended. The final outcomes of the workshops along with some processes are shown here.
The field visits to Kutch and Surendranagar played an important role in shaping the outcomes of the narratives throughout the semester. Few images from the field visit along with the artisan teaching and explaining the craft are shown here. Few pages from the field visit book are also added.
