The unstructured activities on the edges, lack of efficient public transportation, Ahmedabad heat, and the high vehicular traffic are some of the hurdles people face while walking, let alone the idea of ‘wandering’ in the precinct. Starting with the currently adaptively reused AMTS bus stops, the design would focus on re-imagining the typical bus stops and transportation services, thus, creating destinations for walking and introducing the aspect of leisure to the streets. Added programs like reading zone, toilets, Wi-fi, cell phone charging facilities, green spaces, enhance the act of waiting.
