Retrofitting Lakhudi Housing Society

The densely packed Lakhudi housing society at the Lakhudi Talav (an existing seasonal lake), calls for a retrofit of the built environment in and around with safe and hygienic common spaces while providing every house with basic ventilation and natural light.  The neighborhood faces these issues in spite of having sufficient open space on the footprint and following the legal building codes. The project demonstrates a re-arranged footprint with the same area and number of units.
