Textile Research Lab

The research lab emerges as an exploration of the relationship between the old and the new. The newer addition takes the form of an envelop of concrete fins which wrap around and envelop the existing brick mass. 
The form also acts as a prelude to the functional organization within. While the newer envelop contains the more public and collaborative functions, the labs are tucked away in the older block and the sample preparation areas are situated between the old and new; making the experience inside the building one which oscillates between the old and new. Complete Portfolio
