This studio aims to Understand how to prepare a complete market and traffic feasibility assessment report for urban logistics infrastructure ideas. The goal was to determine cargo demand as well as the quantity and nature of future inbound and outbound cargo flows (by commodity) via rail, road, and other modes of transportation for a projected logistics center in Ahmedabad. The study creates a comprehensive picture of the entire regional cargo movement in the urban logistics chain. The outcome of the study is to assess the planned greenfield logistics hub’s market/traffic feasibility, as well as identification of important end sectors/players/economic activities that could benefit from it. In Ahmedabad, collecting data on cargo demand, transportation supply characteristics, demand-supply gap, and existing infrastructure. Feasibility Assessment was completed based on demand and supply analyses, as well as an economic assessment of the region.
