Ahmedabad is dominated by low-rise and mid-rise structures throughout, however there is a significant change in urban fabric along the city’s railway track. Between the eastern and western sides of the railway track, there is a difference in urban fabric with district characteristics. There are six areas of study that capture this change, although it is most prominent along the Maninagar railway station. The portfolio covers the different parameters that contribute to this transformation, as well as the impact of change in urban fabric on additional factors.
