The city centre of Ahmedabad is marked by Ashram Road, which runs west to the Sabarmati River and is formally recognised as the city's CBD, or Central Business District with good street network. However, because the neighbourhood is in transition, the alterations and transformations are only based on the planned development plan, which would have an influence on the area's built fabric and street network, while the current built structure tells a different tale. The portfolio examines the elements and drivers that have influenced and will continue to influence the transition, from Ashram Road's location to its service sector.
