The portfolio captures the metaphor of urban settlements through detailed studies of Isanpur located in Ahmedabad. GIDC act, 1962 introduced by the Gujarat government contributed towards industrial growth creating work opportunities. These occupational opportunities created residential zone around the GIDC sectors for the migrants building a model of an aspiring city. Isanpur was established by the first generation of migrants who were from labor and lower-income class. The region gradually developed fulfilling the needs by redeveloping and repurposing the existing neighborhood. It is observed through the metamorphosis of social and economic mobility, holistic wellbeing, change in choices and behavior ultimately contributing to overall infrastructural growth.
