Saijpur is in the northeastern periphery of Ahmedabad. The present morphology of the area is influenced by adjacent industrial clusters of Asarwa and Naroda. The study area is predominantly a residential neighborhood supported by an industrial economy. The introduction of the Janmarg BRT system in 2011 has brought a new driving force of transformation in the area that was throughout a low-rise settlement since its inception." Understanding the City" studio involved focusing on the physical aspects to understand the neighborhood through designed lenses. This study is conducted via on-site surveys, interviews, Census data, and GIS mapping.
