Thakkarbapa Nagar is a mixed-use residential area located in the north- eastern part of Ahmedabad. This area acts as a transitional area connecting older areas of east Ahmedabad such as Bapu Nagar to the newer peripheral areas such as Nikol Gam and Naroda. The character of this area has opposed newer developments and has stuck to concepts such as incremental housing. This in turn has led to the area functioning on jobs housing-balance or the concept of "live, work, play". This portfolio aims to highlight the transitional character of Thakkarbapa Nagar.
