Surat Station Area TOD

Surat is among the fastest developing cities today. It is undergoing rapid urbanization and facing the challenges of coping up with the increasing activities. The city limits keep expanding, but the city areas still remain the urban center. There are proposal for major transport projects such as the metro and multi-modal transport hub at the railway station area. In order to plan for the future demand of urbanization, it becomes the need to plan the area for redevelopment. The project is a local area plan proposal for station area of Surat, envisioned as a Transit Oriented Development.
