Decentralizing the Commons : Redevelopment Housing

The proposed site is a redevelopment project. In current housing projects, the common spaces are either on the ground or on the roof; thus rendering them useless for tall towers.  Also, as we go higher, the connection with the ground is lost. The idea is to decentralize and fragmentize these common spaces throughout the building so that it becomes accessible to all. These small terraces can be used as a  gathering space or as a space for the like minded to indulge into gardening or small vegetable patch.
