Understory plants, play an important role in forest function, they are the most diverse component of biodiversity in forest ecosystems. The understory influences the energy flow and nutrient cycling of the forest, as well as biodiversity and regeneration capacity. The understory is essential not only for the middle and upper storeys, but also for fauna because it provides food, cover, nesting sites, and other necessities. A healthy and diverse understory plant community is also essential to a forest ecosystem's overall biodiversity. Thus, understanding how a human can decode the forest solely through ground cover is an intriguing way to explore the forest and learn what it is trying to say. Examining the undergrowth to determine whether it is safe for humans to move through the forest or take a different path, as well as whether human intervention is harmful or safe for the undergrowth that grows there. Can these undercover agents guide humans in decoding the forest and directing how they should behave in the forest and explore it without harming it or themselves.
