Infrastructure is the core of Public Bicycle Sharing System (PBSS). It includes bicycle, station, mobile interface application, service maintenance centers, warehouse for assembly & material procurement & head office with Control Command Centre. Bicycle & station design in PBSS has to be gender & age neutral for ease of accessibility. Ergonomics of bicycle design with respective to climate & topography of the city is key element of success. With technologies like IoT, RFID, Geo fencing, GPS, active ride monitoring, etc. it can be integrated with transit hubs for sustainable solution towards first last mile connectivity.
