The project addresses the issue of affordability for millennials taking ownership of their first homes. The user group chosen is such that their profession is very up and coming since everyone seems to be moving towards digitization. Hence, the idea was to separate them from the chaos on this very busy site and create their own city inside. In order to do that, the edges are made very static and enclosing; shutting off the chaos whereas the inside has a very dynamic character which is more easy going. This gives rise to two towers placed along the edges of the site with the rigid units on the outside and the free flowing corridors on the inside. Inspired from the pols, a character of street is given in plan with the form of the corridors and in section with the floor plates staggering on different levels. This also allows for interaction to take place between the two towers. To tackle the issue of affordability a co living unit is introduced which has individual spaces for sleeping and working and shared spaces for living, kitchen and dining. So the individual owners can also rent it out once their term is over. This becomes effective since the user group are not to remain for a long time so it is financially more convenient. It also allows for exchange of ideas between like minded individuals and can benefit the residents.
