The studio took us on the journey of learning the art of Ply-Split Braiding, practicing various braiding techniques and exploring forms and 3D objects which could be created using this technique. Stool Indigo is the product of this journey, which is based on the idea of using Ply-Split Braiding in a functional way. This piece of furniture incorporates two techniques of Ply Split Braiding, used in a way which suits the need of the user and functionality of the stool. Learning about a lesser known skill and exploring various materials was the outcome of this colorful studio.
