The site is located in Jodhpur, which has a hot and dry climate. The site comprises of Khejri trees and a Banyan tree where the residence has been planned. Hot winds enter from the South - West, through the evaporative cooling pads which bring in cooled air. The stale air exits through a heat-driven stack vent thereby creating an air current. The entire building along with the roof receives cooling from the earth as its built subterranean. It can be understood as an entire earth blanket over the building, leaving the southern side open, which receives the winter sun and winds.
