The studio focused on understanding the climate of the major climatic zones of India: hot and dry, hot and humid, and cold and dry.  Exercises like retrofitting, understanding the climate of a city, and case studies were done to learn about the strategies implemented worldwide for specific to certain climate. Further, the strategies learnt were implemented to  design an artists' residency in Jodhpur. Considering it has a hot and dry climate, the strategies were focused on tackling the harsh radiation and hot winds while keeping the insides cool and comfortable at the same time creating recreational spaces.
