Hastashilp- Celebrating Craft of Gujarat

Hastashilp is a craft center designed to revive the textile craft of Gujarat that has been practiced over the year and is now losing its identity to rapid industrialization. Hastashilp at Ahmedabad Haat is an an effort to bring craft enthusiasts together. A structure that is amalgamation of the ancient architecture of Ahmedabad fused with the Contemporary Architecture brought to this city by renowned Architects such as Ar. B.V.Doshi, Louis Khan, etc. Hastashilp houses a craft based retail centre, Workshop and Visual Merchandise to explore the possibilities with these crafts. The materials connects user to the roots of Indian Craft.
