The objective of the industrial studio was to study the requirements of various types of projects, loading, and behavior of those structures under various loads and, along with the designing & detailing of such structures. The allotted projects included a staging structure, a Corrugated steel silo, and an RCC chimney with borosilicate lining. Wind loads, seismic loads, and other loads were calculated using various codes. Load combinations were made to assess the variation of stresses. Load calculations & member designs were done in spreadsheets and the STAAD Pro software. Detailing was done based on the design that was carried out.
